Children Inaugurate CIPEC’s New Vegetable Garden
For many years, children in the kindergarten have planted flowers and vegetables at school to observe them growing and study them. This year, we decided to create a large vegetable garden for the benefit of all the children.
With the help of Permaculture & Cie, we created the new vegetable garden. Thus, each class has been able to study, plant and observe the plants growing: strawberries, raspberries, aubergines, courgettes, potatoes, tomatoes, beans… Harvesting began in May and continued throughout the summer.
In May and June, during the Wednesday Cooking class, children in K1 and K2 were able to cook the vegetables, which had been harvested.
The creation of this vegetable garden is part of the activities of CIPEC’s Eco-Ecole.
