Christmas from a distance
Every year the Christmas Show takes place on the last day of term. The children spend many days rehearsing for the show: songs, poetry, drama, music, dance. Everything is ready when the moment arrives to welcome the parents for the show.
This year, we were unable to invite several hundred people to the Luynes gymnasium, due to the ongoing health situation! However, it was unthinkable to prevent the children from enjoying the Christmas spirit and this much awaited event. And, a few days before Christmas, subject to restrictions, we decided that it was essential to share a wonderful show with the parents, families and friends.
Furthermore, throughout the month of December, the CIPEC team has doubled its efforts to ensure that the children benefit from this time, despite health restrictions and our worries and the parents’ agendas.
This is how the idea of ‘Christmas from a Distance’ came about. To film and broadcast live the Christmas Show. Each class rehearsed an act, then the classes performed one after the other in the yurt.
The finale of the show was when the children gathered outside for the CIPEC Christmas choir.
We hope that everyone enjoyed this moment and we wish you a happy festive season.
